Critically Thinking Through the Bible
Right now there are a lot of plagues taking place in the Bible. In the last chapter God just finished placing a plague on all livestock in Egypt. That’s not enough for God and He chooses to harden the Pharaoh’s heart further and decides on a plague of locusts in this chapter. God really like His plagues!
“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these signs of mine among them that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the Lord.’” – Exodus 10:1-2
This is getting a bit repetitive, but God NEEDS to harden the Pharaoh’s heart. He can’t push His agenda unless He hardens the heart. God…
